A results email is a snapshot of one set of exams, not a summary of you. Clearing runs until 19 October. You have more time, and more good options, than it feels like right now.

Three things that are true today, whatever this morning's results said. Tap each one.
It means your plan A needs an edit. It does not mean you are less capable than you were yesterday, and it does not close down good careers. Plenty of people doing work they love did not get the grades they wanted at 18.
Clearing runs until 19 October, so nobody has to say yes before lunch. Popular courses can fill within days, so do move promptly, but a calm decision made this week beats a panicked one made this morning.
A grade tells you how one subject went on one day. It says nothing about whether you are organised, practical, creative or good with people, which is what most employers actually hire for.
The published numbers, side by side, before anyone commits to three more years. Not to frighten anyone. Just open eyes.
To be even about it: if university is the right route for you, these numbers are worth paying. Many careers repay them comfortably. They just deserve a clear-eyed look before you sign, not after.
Tuition: UK Government published caps. Repayment: Plan 5 student loan terms. Rent: published London student accommodation data.
Trained, placed and applying for jobs before a three-year degree reaches its final year.
Twelve months of professional event management training, including a three-month work placement with a real employer, leading to a CIM Level 7 qualification.
A few places remain for Autumn 2026, and May 2027 and Autumn 2027 applications are open. May 2027 usually fills by Christmas, so it is worth deciding calmly but not slowly.
If the career you want requires a degree, go to university. Medicine, law, engineering, academia. No course of ours replaces that.
We would rather lose you as a student than see you make the wrong call. So, plainly: if you want to be a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, an academic, or anything else where the career requires a degree, go to university. No course of ours replaces that, and we will not pretend otherwise.
If that is you, use Clearing well. Phone universities directly, have your grades and personal statement to hand, and remember you have until 19 October. Good places come up throughout, so do not take the first offer out of relief.
This page is for a different group: capable people heading towards a general degree mainly because it felt like the only respectable option. For them, it is worth seeing the alternative clearly before committing three years and a large loan to it.
Each takes minutes. None asks for a commitment.
Maps how you are wired and where you would thrive. It sometimes points people to university, which is exactly why you can trust it.
